Being Human Series 3 – Aidan Turner plays Mitchell

Courtesy of the BBC Press Office:
Where do viewers meet Mitchell as the beginning of series three?

From the end of series two, myself and George have made this pact that we’re gonna get Annie back [from purgatory] regardless, so true to his word Mitchell goes and tries to get her back from purgatory.

You had scenes with Lacey Turner who plays Lia, how was it working with her?

She’s awesome, she’s brilliant. It’s not enough credit to say she’s highly professional but that’s what she was. She’s such a lovely girl, sort of reserved and quite quiet and I think she’s amazing, she’s done some fabulous stuff. And she’s only ever really done EastEnders, so to come in and do it – she’s very fluid, everyone enjoyed it and we were talking about it for weeks afterwards. The producers say her scenes look great and that the scenes in limbo look great.

Being Human Series 3 – Russell Tovey plays George

Courtesy of the BBC Press Office:
How do viewers meet George at the beginning of series three?

George is in a place of fresh beginnings. We have lost Annie and we’ve decided we’re going to leave Bristol. We have to leave – Mitchell doesn’t want to be there anymore. George is unaware of what Mitchell’s been through but he’s worried about it – he knows Mitchell has gone somewhere dark and he is trying to bring him back.

George and Nina are now a unit and they are very happy together for once. That’s their fresh start and they have their vampire friend with them, but it feels as though they are really on their quest for happily ever after – and that is what George has always wanted.

So, he is in this place of keeping everything good, everything is fine and going well – so let’s not think about the bad things. Yes, we miss Annie, but let’s just keep going.

How does George feel about the move to Barry?

I think he is sad because the house is always where they made their friendships – the house is always heavily associated with Annie. But I think he loves a new beginning.

In the second series, he and Nina weren’t really together and he would go off and meet loads of other girls and loads of things were happening to George. He was very unhappy and just missed her so much. Now they are together, they are going to start afresh and let it be a new beginning, a new page, and I think that is good for George.

"Housebroken" 3-Day Convention for Being Human Fan In Feb 2010, w/ Russell Tovey!

UPDATE: Dec 28, 2009: This has apparently been canceled due to lack of interest.

Sister company to Showmasters who ran Collectormania Midlands in April featuring Russell Tovey and Lenora Crichlow are announcing their latest 3-day event “Housebroken” – a convention for Being Human Fans!

Massive Events presents: Housebroken a 3-day unofficial convention for fans of the brand new UK supernatural comedy series “Being Human” focussing on three housemates – a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost trying to live as humans. This event will be held from Friday 5th – Sunday 7th of February 2010 at The Park Inn Bedford. This unofficial convention aims to bring together fans of the series from all across the UK to meet some the stars and supporting cast and enjoy various events over the weekend. We intend to have at least 7 guests over the weekend, but if tickets sell well for this event we will try to get the entire main cast and supporting cast as well for the event!! There will be activities each day from the usual guest talks and photograph sessions to quizzes and late night themed parties – including ‘Doctors and Nurses’ & ‘Undead Monster Ball’!!

Current guests include:

Russell Tovey plays the resident werewolf “George” – a once normal bloke who was attacked during a camping trip to Scotland that left him with this ‘affliction’ he is currently trying to deal with. And this is while trying to balance his friendship to a vampire, date a doctor, and fit in with his surrounding society!

Paul Kasey took on the role of George’s alter-ego “The Werewolf” – the animalistic side of George that comes out once a month with the full moon. Kasey has appeared in three episodes of the series.
